On the initiative of City Administration, feminine religious organization in 2002 there was built a new temple devoted to great martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia in Poltava. The author of this project is the honoured architect of Ukraine Anatoliy Chernoshyokiv. A new-built temple was consecrated by the Bishop of Poltava and Kremenchuk Phillip.

Inside the temple the dwelling of Jesus Christ on the Earth separates at the whole height of the church the carved iconostasis, which is made by the craftsmen of Lviv company ‘Syaivo’. Some of the icons are brought from Pochayivska Lavra.

Fresco painting on the Bible subjects was performed by the painters Petro Gumenyuk, Viktor Trohymets-Milyutin, Vasyl Korkyshko. Five dome temple in the style of classicism crowns the central cross, which is more than 5 meters high.     

Decorative domes contain seven bells. All of them are cast at Poltava diesel locomotive overhaul plant. The most powerful of them, with a weight of 271 kg, names ‘Poltava’.
