| Description: Toitskyi church was built in 1780 in baroque style in the historic center of the village. It was visited presumably by Cossacks. This church characterizes the church construction during the periods of its transformation from baroque to classicism. The main constructors of this church, P. Kochubey and his wife Ulyana Bezborodko, are buried under this church. Troitskyi church is the only monument in Ukraine which is closely connected with creative works of M. Hohol, who often visited it and depicted in his narrative ‘Night before Christmas’. | |
