Olena Pchilka
Olena Pchilka - ukrainian writer, folklorist, ethnographer, a member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian
Soviet Socialist Republic.
Born in Gadyach. Sister writer and public figure Dragomanov. Reared six children, one of them - a brilliant poetess Lesya Ukrainka.
Works of Elena Pchilka were published in the 80's. XIX century. Took part in the publication of the anthology "The First Wreath". Was editor of "Native Land" and its supplement "Young Ukraine".
Since 1921 continuously lived and worked in Kiev. Elena Petrovna - the author of poetry, novels, short stories, plays. Her belongs the memory of M. Staryts'kogo, M. Lysenko, M. Dragomanov.
