King of Sweden Charles XVI with his wife Silvia are planning to visit Poltava in October, 2008. 

This was informed by the representative of Poltava Regional Administration.

 

According to the representative of Poltava Regional Administration, this visit will be conducted within theKing of Sweden Charles XVI with his wife Silvia are planning to visit Poltava framework of preparatory works devoted to 300 anniversary of Poltava Battle.   

 

‘King and his wife are going to visit Poltava Battle Field Museum, get acquainted with the schedule of Poltava Battle celebration, watch the model of the monument devoted to Charles XII. It is expected that they will bring memorable presents to Museum of Sweden, which is being planned to be built on Poltava Battle Field’, went on the representative of Poltava Regional Administration.
