Poltava opens skiing resort!
City administration of Poltava has announced an investment competition on the construction of the
multifunctional complex with annually closed skiing slope on the same principle as at Dubai Resort
(the United Arab Emirates). This information was announced to journalists on the 19th of March by Poltava Mayor Andriy Matkovskyi. According to his words, on the mountainside with a height of 14 meters and the width of 50 meters, they will sustain the temperature -2 oC twenty-four hours a day. It will be a good place for annual Alpine skiing activities, - said Matkovskyi. He added that the total complex area, which will be located near the route Kyiv-Kharkiv in the district of bus station, would constitute 56 thousand square meters and would include a range of cafes, restaurants, shopping and entertaining centers, hotels.
An estimated cost of this investment project is €50 millions. Currently there is a proposal on the amount of €1,5 million from investors, which are ready to occupy themselves with this interesting project, - said Matkovskyi.
