Putrya Sasha
A young artist from Poltava Olexandra Putrya was born in December 2, 1977 in the family of the artist Yevgeny Putrya. While her short life she has created 46 albums with drawings, cartoons and poems, embossing, embroidery, clay products, soft toys, products made of beads and colored stones, burned wood. Done even technical drawings which could help adults to reach the Moon and make asphalt roads without any cracks.
Olexandra died at age 11 from leukemia.
Works of young artist Sasha Putrya known in more than 50 countries
worldwide. In India she was posthumously awarded with the National Award of Child association Nehru Bal summit.
The girl was awarded (posthumously) the Medal "For a life worthy of human beings" and the "Order for augmentation of goodness on Earth" (The awardees this honorary Order - Mother Teresa, Elena Obraztsova, Oles Gonchar, Robertino Loreti, Borys Paton, Sofia Rotaru, Metropolitan Theodosius). In Poltava there ia a museum of Sasha Putrya, her name is children's art gallery.
Critics are sure: if fate allowed the talent Sasha Putrya reveal until the end, her name would stand in one row with the names of the best artists of our time. It is sad to realize that the phenomenally gifted artist lived only 11 years old. Six of the latter, she was seriously ill, but at this time she created the most fruitful things. Over the years Sasha Putrya created more than two thousand works. She wrote the icon of Our Lady for the restored the Pushkarivska church. Restoration of the church is a special merit of Sasha.
She often walked with her father near the inactive church. Sometimes they were hiding here from the rain. With bated breath, the girl for a long time considered the half-erased murals on the walls, hoping to restore them. "How should I draw stars so that they were as real? So twinkled and sparkled?" - asked she her father.
But once that did not succeed to destroy the time, people began to break. Seeing this barbarism, impressionable child decided to save the church. "Let's shoot at these people from slingshots! - She suggested to her father - they will be scare and leave. Or write to our church big boss and ask him to help!".
Yevgeny made photos of the church. He wrote that it needs restoration, and sent a letter to Kyiv to the head of the Foundation of Culture of Ukraine; that time it was a native of Poltava Borys Oliynyk. Soon came the reply that the money for the revival of the temple will be allocated from the republican budget. "Come quickly to our church, let’s tell her about it". – Said to father his daughter. Unfortunately, Sasha did not see the church revived with her help.
Sasha Putrya made her last picture on Friday January 22, 1989, two days before her death, while being in the department of hematology Poltava City Children's Hospital. On that day she could not do a blood transfusion; veins of the girl were so pricked by medical needles that they were impossible to find. Sasha's condition deteriorated, and that as a distraction from the pain, she began to paint. Picture girl did not manage to finish.
Sasha then drew a self-portrait. It shows an Indian girl in national dress with enormous eyes. India occupies a special place in works of Sasha Putrya.
Once Sasha asked her parents what they did with their elephant, which she loved to ride - once long ago, when it was still quite small. But after watching the film "Disco Dancer" with Mithun Chakraborty in the lead role decennial girl decided to become a wife of this famous artist. She painted portraits of Mithun and his side, has devoted poems to him, sang Indian songs, which sounded in the house, and read literature about the homeland of her favorite actor. She pleased to master the difficult art of Indian make-up and learned to dress in a sari.
Sasha was buried in a sari she used to meet her last Happy New Year in 1989. In the coffin also a small portrait of Mithun Chakraborty was put. Much later the Indian Ambassador to Ukraine learned about the unique girl who so passionately loved his country, asked Yevgeny Vasylyovych, what means his name. "Putrya - a ancient national food of the Ukrainian people," - replied the artist. "And the Hindi word "Putri" means "daughter" - surprised him ambassador.
Daughter’s talent in the family was perceived as self-evident. Her father is an artist; her mother is a choirmaster in school. Naturally, their children grow up in a creative atmosphere. Sasha had an absolute ear for music, beautifully danced. Still craving for drawing prevailed over other hobbies. She was allowed to paint everywhere: on walls in the bedroom and bathroom, beds and chairs. Sitting on the pot, lying on her stomach.
Once she got to my almost finished painting, - says Evgeny Vasilievich. - Board of Poltava literary-memorial museum of Ivan Kotlyarevskyi commissioned me to paint the scene for the wedding from the poet's
"Aeneid".
An artist was absent for a short time, and when he returned, he saw the three-year old Sasha "finishing" his drawing. By the way, it turned out very well. Something the artist certainly moped out, but the feathers that fly out of a chicken in different directions, her handiwork. This was the first collaboration of Sasha and her father.
Once Sasha asked her father whether he sees gold snakes in the air. Previously, he was not paying attention to the golden point, which on a sunny day really appears before his eyes. "These are "tremors"- explained Sasha to her father and gave an amazing theory. These golden snakes are consist of all living creatures - insects, microbes, animals, fish, trees and grasses. When the creature dies, they leave him and fly free. That's when we see them. They are very smart and know that people do not know, and the halo of a saint - is also "tremors".
Even after the daughter’s dead, her father asked the photographer to make of her little picture big picture. But it went bad - on it went glare. The father says: this is the "tremors" that leave a man when he leaves this world.
