Malyk Volodymyr
Volodymyr Malyk was born in the village Novoselki in Kyiv region.
His first poems and stories were written at school. He began to publish his works in the years of study at the
Philological department of Kiev University.
All the plans of the young author were broken by the Second World War. Volodymyr Malyk volunteered for the front when he was a student. He was wounded; Volodymyr Malyk was in concentration camps in Germany. He returned home in 1945, some time as a teacher, he graduated from university.
In 1953 he moved to Lubny, where he lived until his death. He was engaged in teaching and writing. In 1957 saw the light his poetic legend "Cranes, cranes", published under the pseudonym Volodymyr Malik.
Over time there is action-trilogy "Secret ambassador", novels "The Prince Kyi," "The candle is burning", "The Milky Way". His works have received international acclaim and have been translated into many languages.
